The 2018 fall Teddy coat...
As teddy coats are being sought after hitting runways this year, I decided to snatch one up myself as I think they can truly be a staple (both warm and intensely cozy to say the least). Let's say i was not wrong one bit. This one is from Topshop, at a whopping $130.00, it really is a pricey piece and one of the priciest pieces in my wardrobe thus far.
I will say these coats are not for everyone and not for the faint of heart, as some can give off a tacky and overwhelming vibe to an outfit. Although that can be the case, this coat from Topshop has been doing me well. It's both cozy, yet so utterly soft to the touch. It does have the feeling of a more luxurious item and I will say it is worth the price tag. The one slight downfall is that it does leave a bit of the "fur" on clothing and can be pretty apparent on darker clothing. If you tend to wear a lot of dark clothing, I will just be aware of the slight shedding, but to me....I can live with it.
So whether you opt for a simple fall/winter coat this season or decide to splurge or purchase a Teddy coat and try out these fun pieces, definitely consider Teddy coats from Topshop or high street options as most of them are faux fur, yet combine aesthetic with functionality. I personally don't consider Teddy coats a trend as they can truly be a staple in any girl's wardrobe for every chilly season.
