Just because it's the coming of a new year, doesn't mean I'm resolving to changing because of that sole reason. We should possibly all try to constantly and continuously create new goals for ourselves, despite whatever time of year it is. That having said, with the start of 2015 right around the corner, I hope to have the opportunity to accomplish new goals and set many more throughout the new year.
As 2014 comes near to a close, I have begun to accumulate a multitude of magazines and inspiration on things I wish to do, fashion-wise and career wise. I can now say I am a college graduate, with a degree in 2D Animation, I really want to dive into the more artistic side that I have yet to flourish. With my intent in widening my hair expertise and what's happenin' in the fashion industry, I have now set myself in attending the Douglas J. Aveda Institute in hopes of becoming a Cosmetologist in the near future...and well...having a job that I thoroughly will enjoy for the rest of my life. I truly encourage any and all who really have a passion other than what they're currently doing, to truly think about pursuing whatever it is that you see yourself doing for the rest of your life. You've only got one life to live so do what it is that you enjoy doing and get paid for it!! Many ponder on the idea and get stumped...whether it be because of money matters or scared to dive into a new realm of the unknown. Life is all uncertainty...nothing is ever certain, but if risks are never taken, due to the fact of having fear or erroneous thoughts and negative thinking, you'll be stuck in the same rut and never know what could've happened and possibly for the better. So I say take chances and take risks that you believe will aid and benefit you in the long run and listen to what your gut says, not what other people want for you or what they want.
So despite going on a rant, I have compiled pictures from various sources of what has inspired me and what I would love to rock in the upcoming year. The boho chic trend does come and go, but I always love the bohemian feel of things...whether it be cute flowy and breezy dresses with bold and chunky accessories or vibrant, beachy colors to uplift your mood. Seeing such styles make me uber excited for the spring and summer seasons...
Fresh spring and summery makeup....and as always, obsessed with my idol, Alexa Chung as her makeup and style is seemingly always on trend, simple and clean.
Faux hawks for women. Apparently, I will never get tired of my hair, although I'm constantly on the verge of trying to let it grow to a pixie. Not only is this style easy, as I usually get up and go, but I love the versatility of it and many ask why I decided to go short...well, because I wanted something different rather than long hair as everyone has and I just flat out love the look of it on women....chic, edgy, and polished is how I like to look at it.
Jessica Szhor is just beautiful and I love her sense of simplisic mixed with boho fashion.
Last, but not least, Victoria Beckham. This woman's style is to die for, at least for me. I love her clean, crisp, and sleek-cut lines in her outfits. Although she doesn't seem to add much vibrancy with color-play in her wardrobe, the combinations of the neutral-tones she choose for her tops and bottom pair up nicely to always deliver simplicity with feminine edge.
