January Haul and Faves 2016

So I realize that I have not posted since God knows when, but during that time, I have accumulated a grand amount of goodies and have been loving using them as well. All these products have been gathered through a course of a couple of months and not altogether. Some of these are impulse buys and some have been products which I have been eyeing for a good amount of time and had to get my hands on them....

Disclaimer: There are a bunch of lippies...I went a little crazy...

Viktor and Rolf Flowerbomb: I've been wearing this scent non-stop as it is floral, a bit musky, and sweet all in one. I love this fragrance for just a casual day or even for a night out as it is not extremely overpowering and you only need a small amount to get a nice whiff of it.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Pomade in Dark Brown: This brow product is the only product I've been using on my sparse eyebrows for more definition and really gives a more defined arch and look to my brows. It stays put all day and can look dramatic depending on the pressure of the brush you use or more natural. I've been alternating between this and the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz as well, but this product does give me more of that look I'm going for with my very unruly and sparse brows.

Urban Decay Primer Potion: These two are just back ups as they are my go-to for priming my lids prior to applying any shadow or as a primer for my brows as well. This is the only primer I would go to as it really makes whatever product I put on top stay put and last all day, as I have pretty oily-combination skin and this works perfect.

NYX Butter Glosses in Amsterdam and Cherry Custard: These two lippies are new shades, as I already own some of the other shades and love the formula of these butter glosses. These two are more orangey type shades and add that pop of color to the face. These will be a must-try as the spring season comes into play as they are very moisturizing and leave good pigmentation on the lips.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz in Medium Brown: This is another back-up as I repurchase this products loads of times because of its ease of use. It's so quick to get filled and defined eyebrows with this twist-up pencil and leaves the brows looking neat and looking fabulous all with just this pencil. It is a bit of a waxy formula which really helps keep the hairs in place and the product itself doesn't budge and stays put all day.

Kat Von D Tattoo Liner in Trooper: I've been wanting to give this liner a try ever since reading good reviews on it and on its staying power. I have to say that this is one of my most favorite liquid liners. It is very pigmented, very black, and is so easy to apply a wing with the fine felt tip. It is a bit on the pricey side for a liquid liner, but the color pay off is amazing and this lasts on my lids all day without smudging or running.

L'Oreal Infallible Pro-Last Lipcolor in the shades (starting from the top) Captivated, Passionate Petal, Toujours Teaberry, Flamboyant Flamingo, and Perpetual Apricot: I absolutely love these stains/lipcolors for a multitude of reasons. They are very hydrating with the handy balm/sealant that it comes with at the end of the product. The colors are mesmerizing and so lovely. The color pay-off is amazing and the product itself lasts a good amount of time on the lips without having to re-apply so many times. The product comes in a wide array of shades, which is why I literally chose almost every color in this line because this lip product has really blown me away with how good it is for a drugstore product.

Nars Sheer Glow Foundation in Punjab: This is another product that I've been eyeing forever and finally got the chance to purchase it. I have to say that I absolutely love this foundation. Not only does it provide beautiful even coverage for the face, but it does not leave skin feeling dry or flakey in areas that I know are pretty dry. It does not really give that "sheer glow" that the product says it is, but it does cover what it needs to cover, yet still letting my skin feel like it can breathe. I only need a small amount to cover my entire face and I would say the shade I chose is spot on. I can see why so many rave about this product and I will most likely repurchase if I ever go out of this foundation.

Ulta Angled Eye Liner Brush: I initially wanted to purchase just one of these brushes, but it ended up being a bogo sale, so I went for it and got myself two of these handy brushes. I love this brush for eyebrow product application as well as for eyeliner. The bristles are extremely soft and isn't so stiff or soft that can make it hard to maneuver or be precise with. This is a perfect brush to create intense liner lines or as said above, to create a perfect brow.

Nivea Post Shave Balm in Sensitive: Because of all the rave about this product on YouTube, I decided to go ahead and try it out for myself. This has to be the best face primer I've tried so far. I've had my share of face primers and never really ended liking any of em, but this product just wowed me. It does what a primer, in my mind, should have done. It goes on silky smooth and smoothes the face for even application of face product. It leaves my skin feeling refreshes and even hydrated with a nice, fresh scent. Once I apply my foundation and concealer, my face looks a lot more even and not blotchy as it sometimes can end up looking with other primers. At the end of the day, I've noticed that my makeup still looks fabulous and fresh, again despite having intense oily and combination skin, my makeup did not oxidize at all on me. I love it for the reason that so far, knock on wood, it hasn't broken me out. I will definitely be repurchasing another of these once I'm out because this is a staple in  my makeup routine.

Tarte Tarteist Lip Paints in Frenemy (top) and Namaste (bottom): I've been wanting to buy some of the Tarteist Lip Paints for so long now and finally grabbed myself two of them. I really enjoy this product. They are not drying on the lips and the color pigmentation is phenomenal. They last a long amount of time without having to touch-up and a little goes a long way on the lips. I would purchase all of the colors in the line, but the price is a bit steep on these lippies so I'll have to wait a bit to snatch the rest of these babies.

Maybelline Vivid Matte Liquid in Pink Charge (left) and Orange Shot (right): I would say these lippies area actually a very nice dupe for the Tarteist Lip Paints. They feel silky smooth on the lips and glide on with ease. The color pay off is amazing and last a long time on the lips as well. I was pretty surprised on how well they lasted and even stained my lips once I took the product of or ate. I highly recommend these lippies as they are much affordable than the lipstains out there and provide equal or as much color pay-off as pricier options.

NYX Liquid Suede in Amethyst (left) and Pink Lust (right): I've been sort of on a lip stain roll with the lip products I've been purchasing and these are no different. These are amazing with the intense color pigmentation and feel really good on the lips. The only downside I would say about these is that they didn't last very long on my lips. They really didn't stain my lips afterwards, so these would have to be reapplied a couple of times to keep that intense color going on the lips.

KoKo Lashes in Goddess: I still haven't tried these on yet, but I've been waiting for the Queen B lashes from KoKo as well, but have been out of stock for the longest, so I decided to give these a try. They look fluttery, full, and long which is what I look for in my lashes. I am excited to try these out and will be doing a review later on these and the Queen B's as they got back in stock and ordered them right away...I can't resist pretty lashes.

Lilly Ghalichi Lashes in Miami: Prior to purchasing the Miami lashes, I had the Mykonos lashes and have to say that they weren't the kindest lashes to my eyes. Although these lashes one of the best in terms of beautiful volume and length, the lash strip on these seems to always irritate my eyes and weigh my natural lashes down. They also claim you can re-use these lashes up to 25 times, but I ended up using the Mykonos lashes only for about 8 times before some of the lashes started to fall out along with adhesive. I would suggest being extremely gentle while using these lashes as I'm sure they can last for more than what I had them for. I will be giving the Miami lashes a try and see if they're much better than the Mykonos lashes were on my natural lashes.

L'Oreal True Match Lumi Cushion: I still haven't tried this foundation yet, but once I saw it at my local drugstore, I had to snatch up my shade, Upon hearing various reviews on this product and on how good it is, I wanted to try it out for myself and see what all the hype was about. I know cushions seem to be a pretty popular concept in Asia, so I would like to see the U.S. come out with more of these concepts. I will be updating and seeing how this foundation works out for me.

Ardell Double Up Lashes in 203: These have been my holy grail lashes for about a month or so. Although they are very dramatic and full, I love wearing these for an every day look. They are very light on my eyes and look absolutely beautiful and feminine. I have stocked up on these lashes as they are pretty inexpensive and love wearing them with whatever makeup look I go for the day.

No Bleeding Lips: As the name suggests, this lip product that comes in a twist up pencil words wonders. It really does make my lip products adhere ten times better and makes products last all day. It makes every lippie that I wear work to its full potential with no smearing, fading, or smudging.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Definer in Medium Brown: With all the rave on the internet going on about the definer, I wanted to purchase it because I love any product that will make my brows look their best. I still have not tried this product, as I want to finish my current brow products to give this a full review, but am very excited to see what this pencil has to offer.

NYC Liquid Eyeliner in Black: Last, but not least, my current favorite liquid eyeliner. I've been using this eyeliner for months now and it is not only very easy to create a winged liner, but this is a very true black. It does not smudge or fade and is very easy to remove at the end of the day, as some of the liners I've used have either smudged on me so bad or stay put all day, but were a pain to remove at the end of the day. This is the best of both worlds and have already gone through two of these. Love this eyeliner and highly recommend it.
