2015 Loves and What is to Come..

New year, fresh new start....
With a new year having begun, there's a boatload of products that I've been trying and thus, been loving. Not only has this year been filled with new products that have made a pretty drastic change to the appearance of my skin, but I've learned to change the way I take care of my skin with what I eat. With new ways of eating and treating my skin, my body has begun to feel better than it ever has.

Although I've sadly decided to take the route of choosing to include protein into my diet once again (due to doctor's orders), I've gone to choosing chicken (grilled is best) and incorporating more and more veggies as well. Not only has my body progressed extensively in the way I perform everyday, but I feel at my ultimate best, physically and mentally. I, along with my closest friends, have decided for this new year to change ourselves for our well being and really suggest to all those reading, to try and set goals for your well-being. It is always great to set goals and look forward to things in the future, not only to try and be adventurous, but to have memories of such things.

So enough of a ramble....I've decided to post about the products I've been loving, some people of who's style I adore, and just little things here and there that I just had to mention.

Having attended my friend's nieces quinceanera, I decided to post the look I went for and the makeup I did on my beloved close friend. I decided to go with my usual...a neutral, slate gray smokey eye with a bit of black on the crease to really define my eyes and decided to go with a neutral, nude lip.

For my friend, we went for a teal/turquoise smokey eye which really complimented the rest of her look...going for a teal look with her dress and hair. Overall, the look was a success, as it wasn't over the top and accentuated the accents in her hair and with her gown.

So now for January and February, I've been loving stains for the lips and even using them on the cheeks as multi-tasking products. I've owned a Sephora Cream Lipstain in 01 Always Red as a beautiful statement red and decided to purchase two other colors in this range as the formula is both lovely, extremely pigmented, and wears for an incredibly long amount of time.

I decided to go with 07 Cherry Blossom, which is a beautiful, mauvy type of pink which looks great as an everyday pink on the lips and 04 Coral Crush which I can't wait to wear in the summer and makes me uber excited to pair it more with a simple makeup look (going easier on the eyes as opposed to my beloved smokey eye).

Been asked on occasion what's the case on my phone and it is by Michael Kors....great case for both protection and a bit of flair to my already awesome Note 4

Here are the 3 Sephora Cream Lipstains: Top is 01 Always Red, 07 Cherry Blossom, and 04 Coral Crush on the bottom

Benefit Benetint

And I want to give a brief, but very well-loved mention to the two creams that have saved my skin from eternal catastrophe and they are the L'Oreal Youth Code Texture Perfector Serum and the Ponds Clarant B3 Face Cream (I use the one for Normal to Oily Skin).

Prices and availability of both products can vary depending on retailer

Both of these creams in conjunction have helped greatly diminish the look of my acne scars, which I have suffered through most of my life with and those very close to me will know that I've dealt with the most naughty of acne and acne scarring. By constantly using both of these creams, my scars have drastically reduced in pigmentation and in texture, with evenness in skintone greatly improving and experiencing less acne overall. I can honestly say that whilst using both of these cream religiously, I have noticed pore size reduction, less bumpy skin, acne scars fade quickly and evenly, and experience little to no acne breakouts (unless it's that beautiful time of the month when Aunt Sally decides to pass by....or I indulge in too much chocolate). Overall, I highly (and I mean HIGHLY) recommend trying the serum and cream if you experience frequent acne breakouts, suffer with uneven skin and texture, and want creams that will not only moisturize the skin, but combat acne and maintain a beautiful canvas whilst keeping skin looking an feeling at its optimum best.

As mentioned before, been loving stains and above are a few in my already humongous collection of them. I personally adore the Revlon Matte Balms that come in the crayon form, similar to the Clinique Chubby Sticks. They are not only beautifully and immensely pigmented, but wear lovely throughout the day and come in a wide arrange of colors to suit anyone's taste. I am a huge fan of brights and love to wear bright colors on any occasion. Recently I've been on an orange/coral love affair and that can probably be due to the fact that I am so excited for the Spring season to begin...not only for the makeup...but for the fashion...

Recently found out about the beatiful Sib_Vicious (follow her on Instagram!!) and she has been my woman crush as soon as I saw her...love her flawless beauty and exceptional sense of style

So to end this post, I want to say that so far this year it's been so great. I will begin to post more outfits and looks as the Spring season approaches as the weather here in Chicago is brutal and pretty cold at the moment. I am excited to post more new outfits of the day as it gets warmer and will experiment with switching up looks as opposed to my usual love of black in my outfits, as I know most people will want to experiment and wear brights as the weather changes. I will also be posting on my hunt for the perfect colorist to be able to change up my hair, again, as it gets warmer as I do love to change up hair and looks. It's quite hard to find the perfect hairstylist to do the ombre that I've been dying to get for the longest, so hopefully I can take you guys on my journey and hopefully get that done around spring time and be posting about that..

Many exciting events and things will be coming so if you want to know more, please stay tuned as I will be blogging and posting on what's happening and what I'll be doing in the months to come. So stay warm and stay positive!!
