Oranges announce the coming of spring...
Because of the utter cold weather here in Chicago, I haven't been able to photograph the outfits I would love to do, but with the coming of the Spring season, I will begin again to do so. For now, I've been indulging in all the orange lippies in my stash of lipsticks, balms, and stains.
Recently I came across the Sonia Kashuk Velvety Matte Lip Crayons (found at Target) and specifically in the color Poppy Nude, which is a bit odd because it really isn't close to being some sort of nude. It is a beautiful, vibrant shade of reddy orange that is perfect for the spring time. I've been wearing this color so much, as it reminds me of the coming warmer weather. As seen on runways and on my summer crush Agyness Deyn (love her style year-round actually!!), orange has been a color that just brings vibrance to the whole face and adds that perfect pop of color, even as an accessory.
Milani blusher that has been combining well with everything orange; shade is in Luminoso and is a lovely peachy-pink shade with a bit of shimmer that looks more like a soft sheen across the cheekbones

The combo of both products have really helped enliven my whole face this winter and I encourage everyone to try some sort of shade of orange as it is such a wearable shade for spring and summer, contrary to what people tend to think. Anyone can pull it off as many shades are available in many brands that can look lovely with any skin tone.
